The Tone Lise Akademiet is a vocational school for nail technicians and beauty makeup artists, situated in downtown Oslo. It opened in 1992 and currently educates around 80 students a year. I addition to offering full-time education, more than 350 students attend the shorter continuing education classes each year. The school is the only one of its kind and is still known as the first and best one for training in nails in Norway. The educational program was approved by the State Educational Loan Fund in 1998, which made education more available. In 2005 the school expanded and started with beauty makeup artist training.
The Akademiet’s turnover was 21 millions in 2016. It has 15 employees and 20 hired specialist teachers and Tone Lise is the founder and Managing Director.

There are currently nine branches located in the Greater Oslo Region , Bergen and Alta, offering the best treatments in nail care and nail design, foot care, eye lashes, face and body care. Since 1999 TL Salongene has been committed to quality and service, and the company relentlessly focuses on quality. The company’s aim is to expand to 20 salons within 2017.

Dream Big
is Tone Lises latest project. The book Dream Big – Take no shit! will be published medio October 2017. In addition to her entrepreneurship story, the book contains artwork by Lene Merete Haugen, inspiration and concrete advices on how to follow your own dreams – and take active social responsibility. Related to the project, the Dream Big Foundation will offer free education to women in Zanzibar, to help them create their own job and a better future.
