Tone Lise Forbergskog (born 1968) has almost 30 years of experience as an entrepreneur and successful business woman.
After growing up in the small fishing village of Båtsfjord in the northernmost part of Norway, Tone Lise moved to Los Angeles at the age of 18. After successfully completing beauty school, where she specialized in nails and hand treatments, she moved back to Norway and two years later she opened her first salon in the heart of Oslo. Just a year later she launched her first product, Ice Oil Cuticle Treatment, which she developed at her own home.
Since then her business has grown steadily. In 1992 she opened the beauty school Tone Lise Akademiet A/S, in 1998 she launched Norway’s first nail polish TL Design (Tone Lise Polish), in 2007 she launched her own spa product line TL Spa Design and in 2013 she entered the market with the facial skincare and shampoo line TL Mineral Complex using Dead Sea clay. All of her products comply with high environmental standards and are based on natural and organic ingredients.
Today her involvement in business activities consists of the beauty and nail school Tone Lise Akademiet A/S, acknowledged by the Norwegian government, the import and export of beauty products, production of her own brands TL Design, TL Mineral Complex, TL Spa Design, and assisting other brands in product development and production. Tone Lise is also a part owner and one of the strategic partners in TL Salongene A/S which is a chain of beauty salons of which there are eight as of March 2015, with an aim to expand to 20 within 2016.
Tone Lise’s work and products are internationally renowned. Her brand TL Design won The Best Nail Polish by Cosmopolitan magazine in 2011, and several of her products have won comparison tests in the magazine. The Norwegian Entrepreneur Magazine Gründer Magasinet acknowledged her work by awarding her Entrepreneur of the Month for September 2010.
Parallel to her business development she has also engaged wholeheartedly in social issues. Since 2007 she has run a social responsibility program largely engaged in helping women who have been victims of human trafficking.
Although overall she has enjoyed success in business, Tone Lise has also experienced her fair share of adversity and setbacks. For better or worse, she knows what it takes to reach one’s goals in life. As part of her interest in personal development, she has become a Senior Leader at the Anthony Robbins Company and assisted at several of his events.
With her broad experience she loves to inspire and help other entrepreneurs and startups to define new goals and to climb to new heights both in their private lives and business endeavours. She has given lectures for the past 20 years on how to start one’s own business and she relates her own entrepreneurial story with great zeal.
Tone Lise lives in Oslo, Norway, is a single mom and has a lovely teenage son. Today she is the Managing Director of the Tone Lise Akademiet, inspiring her own and other businesses to grow and develop.
