Berit Ås (born 1928) is one of those strong women that led the way for other women in a time when men dominated both politics and business. Her courage and willpower to follow her dreams and what she believed in has been of great inspiration to me.
Ås became the first female political party leader in Norway in 1975, was one of the initiators of the Women’s University, which became operational in 1985, and is also known for having systematized, developed, popularized and made known “master suppression techniques”. These techniques are used to rule over/suppress individuals or groups, and still today you need to be able to identify and handle them. The five techniques are: invisibility, ridicule, withholding of information, condemnation of whatever you do and application of guilt and shame.
Gro Harlem Brundtland (born 1939) is another role model of mine. She is Norway´s first female Prime Minister and she held a number of international leadership positions including the chair of the World Commission of Environment and Development (the Brundtland Commission) and the Director General of the World Health Organization. She has not been afraid to take on big responsibilities and power and she always stood up for what she believed in.
Mother Theresa (1910-1991) is one of the greatest humanitarians of the 20th century. With her humble attitude, empathy for the poor and ability to take action, she is a great inspiration for selfless actions.
Oprah Winfrey is an unconventional woman whose work I have enjoyed a great deal. She deals with difficult questions and brings alternative wisdom into the mainstream media. And her energy is irresistible!
Anthony Robbins is a bundle of energy that can knock you off your feet. His mission is to help 
people discover and live their own greatness. I have attended a number of his programs and I have been so fortunate to assist him as a Senior Leader at several of his events. Anthony and the events he create inspire people to greatness!
